The RaceQuip 121 Series Multi Layer Fire Suit Jacket is designed for drivers who require enhanced fire protection, durability, and comfort in demanding motorsport environments. Built with a multi-layer construction system, this jacket delivers superior thermal resistance while maintaining breathability and flexibility for extended use.
This jacket meets and exceeds SFI 3.2A/5 standards and is classified as an SFI-5 certified racing garment. With a TPP Rating of 25, it provides a high level of protection against heat and flame exposure, making it suitable for competitive and professional racing applications.
The jacket features a triple-layer construction system engineered for optimal safety and comfort. The outer layer is made from durable Pyrovatex® FRC, providing a smooth, slightly shiny finish with strong flame resistance and moisture-wicking properties. The middle layer consists of Nomex® batting, an inherently fire-retardant aramid fiber that enhances thermal insulation and protection. The inner liner is constructed from soft Pyrovatex® FRC, ensuring comfort against the skin while maintaining breathability.
Pyrovatex® FRC is a cotton-based fire-retardant material known for its softness, flexibility, and moisture management. It is gentle on the skin and reduces irritation during extended use. The treatment bonds at a molecular level with cotton fibers, helping preserve flame-retardant properties over time with proper care. As with all motorsport safety equipment, this jacket is fire retardant rather than fireproof.
