Designed after our best-selling AMG heat exchangers, the PLM Mercedes Benz 5.5L AMG XL Heat Exchanger for E55, CLS55, and SL55 is now 25% larger for superior cooling performance.
Supercharged Mercedes AMG vehicles often overheat under hot weather or extreme driving conditions, especially with increased boost or horsepower. The solution is the upgraded PLM Power Driven Heat Exchanger, which significantly reduces intake charge temperatures to maintain power when needed. The non-epoxied furnace brazed cores provide better heat dissipation and are welded with CNC precision machined billet aluminum necks.

Since the bumper needs to be removed for installation, consider upgrading to the complete cooling package, which includes the Johnson Pump and Redline Water Wetter for only $100 more.
Installation Note: For CLS55 and SL55 models, you will need to make 2 new holes in the side brackets. The installation remains bolt-on with no modifications to your car. For SL55, a longer hose is required. Select the SL55 option when placing your order to receive the longer hose at no extra cost.
