Installation Notes
The DRL circuit can be wired using one of two installation methods.
Fuse Box Installation
If the DRL circuit is connected through the high-beam fuse location, the vehicle's factory DRL resistor may need to be disconnected. Failure to do so may cause the high beams to remain illuminated.
The installation procedure involves removing the OEM high-beam fuse, installing it into the lower position of the supplied add-a-fuse, and then reinstalling the add-a-fuse assembly into the high-beam fuse location with both fuses installed.
Accessory Power Installation
Alternatively, the DRL circuit can be connected to accessory power, allowing the DRLs to operate when the vehicle is running. Refer to the manufacturer's installation documentation for the appropriate wiring procedure.
Note: Disconnecting the factory DRL resistor located in the lower passenger-side bumper area may be required depending on the installation configuration.
