Description
The Mosselman Single Oil Cooler Kit is engineered to address the well-known oil temperature challenges found in BMW E-series vehicles equipped with the N54 and N55 engines. Developed by Mosselman Turbo Systems, this upgraded oil cooling solution significantly increases oil cooling capacity to ensure stable and safe engine temperatures during aggressive driving, track use, or tuned applications.
BMW’s factory oil cooler setup can struggle under sustained load. The Mosselman Single Oil Cooler Kit replaces the original OEM oil cooler on the right-hand side of the vehicle with a larger, high-efficiency Setrab 19-row oil cooler, allowing for improved heat dissipation and consistent oil temperature control.
This kit is designed for enthusiasts and tuners who demand reliable oil cooling performance. For best results, Mosselman strongly recommends pairing this kit with the MSL Oil Thermostat, which is sold separately and allows oil to reach operating temperature more efficiently before full cooling is applied.
The kit is supplied with a pre-assembled stainless steel mounting bracket, a high-quality AN8 oil adapter, and a complete hose kit to ensure durability under high pressure and temperature conditions.
This product is not a plug-and-play installation. Minor vehicle modifications are required to accommodate the larger oil cooler and mounting bracket. Estimated installation time is approximately 3 hours.
Important note for BMW 135i E82 N55 owners:
This application requires the N54 MSL Oil Thermostat (part number 030210050). Orders for N55 vehicles will be supplied accordingly.
