The MMX billet cradle is designed to provide improved control of differential movement under acceleration, deceleration, and changing drivetrain loads. By creating a more rigid connection between the rear differential and chassis, it helps reduce unwanted movement while maintaining a direct-fit installation that does not require cutting, drilling, or permanent modification to the vehicle.
Precision 6061-T6 Billet Aluminum Construction
Manufactured from 6061-T6 billet aluminum, the MMX front differential cradle combines high strength with precise machining and a rigid mounting structure. The billet construction is engineered to withstand the increased loads experienced by high-performance and track-driven G8X vehicles while providing a durable, long-term solution for the factory differential mounting location.
Factory or 10mm Raised Differential Position
One of the key advantages of this system is its height-adjustable configuration. When installed by itself, the billet cradle maintains the differential in its factory position. When combined with the MMX Rear Differential Raised Poly Bush (MMR55-1605), the system allows the differential to be raised by 10mm.
The 10mm raised configuration is particularly useful for vehicles with lowered suspension. Lowering the chassis changes the relationship between the differential, driveshaft, and axle shafts, which can increase drivetrain operating angles. Raising the differential helps restore the drivetrain geometry toward its original position and can reduce the operating angles of the axle shafts and CV joints.
Improved Differential Control
The billet front cradle is designed to minimize unnecessary differential movement under load. Improved mounting control can help maintain more consistent drivetrain positioning during hard acceleration, aggressive cornering, gear changes, and track use.
The result is a stronger and more controlled connection between the rear differential and chassis without permanently modifying the vehicle.
Expandable Differential Mounting System
For additional support, the billet front cradle can be combined with the MMX G8X Dual Differential Mount (MMR55-1606). This configuration creates a four-point differential mounting system using the billet front cradle, raised polyurethane bushings, and the dual differential mount.
This expanded setup provides additional control of differential movement while maintaining the corrected 10mm raised differential position.
The billet cradle can also be integrated with other MMX G8X differential upgrades, including the MMX Billet High-Capacity Differential Oil Pan and Rear Differential Output Shaft Heat Shield Set, allowing the rear differential system to be upgraded for mounting control, fluid capacity, and thermal management.

Important Fitment / Installation Note
The 10mm raised differential configuration requires the MMX Rear Differential Raised Poly Bush (MMR55-1605). The billet cradle alone maintains the factory differential position.
For the complete four-point differential mounting configuration, the MMX Dual Differential Mount (MMR55-1606) can be added.
