BMW B58 and B57 engines are known to suffer from failures with the OEM paper oil filters, which often disintegrate and leave the plastic base lodged in the housing during oil changes. This leads to costly removal or even full housing replacements — an issue so common that BMW issued an official technical bulletin to dealerships.
The MMX Performance filter eliminates this failure risk. Made from pleated high-flow stainless steel micronic filter cloth, it filters out oil contaminants down to 20 microns. This medical-grade material outperforms paper filters in both protection and durability.
