Description
The MG Flasher License for the S58 platform is required to unlock full flashing capabilities for BMW vehicles equipped with MG1 ECU architecture. This license enables access to MG Flasher’s core ecosystem, including ECU flashing, diagnostic tools, and custom map functionality.
This license does not include OTS maps, which must be purchased separately. Once activated, it allows unlimited flashing of the assigned vehicle via VIN locking and provides access to advanced tuning features, diagnostics, and customization options depending on vehicle compatibility.
A valid MG Flasher Flasher License is required in order to flash any OTS or Custom Map.
ECU Unlock Information
- ECUs manufactured in July 2020 and newer are supported with a bench unlock provided by Femto or AutoTuner.
- The ECU must be shipped to the unlock provider or unlocked by a qualified third-party tuner using required bench tools.
- Recent BMW software updates may require a Bench OBD Unlock before flashing.
- Authorized MG Flasher Dealers can perform ECU bench unlock services.
- Any qualified tuning shop equipped with appropriate bench tools may also perform the unlock.
- Bench unlocking services are not included and may incur additional third-party costs.
