Description
The MG Flasher Flasher License for the N74 platform is required to unlock full flashing capabilities for supported BMW vehicles equipped with the MG1 ECU. This license enables access to MG Flasher’s core tuning functions, including ECU flashing, diagnostic tools, and custom map support.
This license does not include OTS maps, which are sold separately.
Once activated, the license allows unlimited flashing of the assigned vehicle via VIN locking, ensuring long-term access to tuning, updates, and software improvements. It also enables advanced diagnostic functions and optional features depending on vehicle compatibility.
A valid MG Flasher Flasher License is required in order to flash any OTS or Custom Map.
ECU Unlock Information
- ECUs manufactured in July 2020 and newer are supported with a bench unlock provided by Femto or AutoTuner.
- The ECU must be shipped to the unlock provider or unlocked by a qualified third-party tuner using required bench tools.
- Recent BMW software updates may require a Bench OBD Unlock prior to flashing.
- Authorized MG Flasher Dealers can perform ECU bench unlock services.
- Any qualified tuning shop with appropriate bench tools may also perform the unlock.
- Bench unlock services are not included and may incur additional third-party costs.

- Some features are platform-dependent and may not be available on all vehicles
- Certain advanced functions are under development for Gen 2 and hybrid platforms
