Description
The MG Flasher License for BMW N63 engines is the essential foundation required to enable ECU flashing, custom tuning access, and advanced diagnostic functionality through the MG Flasher platform. This license unlocks full vehicle-specific tuning capabilities for MG1 ECU-equipped BMW N63 platforms while allowing unlimited VIN-locked flashing.
This license does not include OTS maps and is required before any Stage 1, Stage 2, or custom calibrations can be installed.
Designed for flexibility and long-term use, the MG Flasher License enables full access to performance features, diagnostic tools, and ECU management functions.
Vehicle Compatibility
- BMW N63 engine platforms
- Only vehicles equipped with MG1 ECU are supported
- ECU compatibility must be confirmed before purchase
ECU Compatibility & Unlock Requirements
- ECUs manufactured July 2020 and newer are supported with bench unlock (Femto or AutoTuner)
- ECU must be sent to an authorized unlock provider or unlocked by a qualified third-party tuner
- Some ECU software versions may require Bench OBD Unlock
- Unlock services are not included and may incur additional costs from third-party providers

- ECU can be restored to stock software at any time
ECU Unlock Information
Some vehicles may require ECU unlocking before flashing can be performed.
Unlock methods include:
- Bench unlock via Femto or AutoTuner
- Third-party tuning shop with proper tools
- Bench OBD unlock for certain software versions
Additional costs may apply depending on the service provider.
Compatibility Notice
