The JLT Series II Cold Air Intake for the Ford Mustang GT 5.0L and Boss 302 is engineered to significantly outperform the factory intake system by reducing air restriction and maximizing airflow. Designed, tested, and dyno-proven by JLT Performance, this intake delivers an average gain of 30–35 rear-wheel horsepower, making it one of the most effective bolt-on upgrades available for the Coyote-powered Mustang.
At the core of the JLT Series II system is a massive, free-flowing intake design that eliminates choke points and restrictive bends found in factory airboxes. The large-diameter intake tube and oversized air filter work together to supply the engine with cooler, denser air for improved throttle response, stronger top-end power, and aggressive induction sound.
This intake features a fully rotomolded heat shield that isolates the filter from engine bay heat, helping maintain lower intake air temperatures for consistent performance. The black textured rotomolded intake tube is designed specifically for the Mustang 5.0 platform, ensuring optimal airflow and proper sensor placement.
A performance tune is required to safely and properly run this intake. This system is intended for off-road or racing use and is not street legal in all US states.
