The JLT Cold Air Intake for the 2015–2017 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L is a high-performance intake system engineered to maximize airflow and unlock the full performance potential of the Coyote 5.0L V8 engine. Designed for enthusiasts seeking maximum horsepower and torque gains, this intake features a large-diameter intake tube and requires an ECU tune with remapped MAF (Mass Air Flow) values to ensure proper operation and peak performance.
Replacing the restrictive factory intake with JLT's high-flow design allows the engine to draw in a greater volume of cool, dense air for improved combustion efficiency. The result is increased horsepower, stronger torque, quicker throttle response, and enhanced overall engine performance when paired with the required custom calibration.
The system includes a high-flow, washable and reusable cotton air filter that delivers excellent filtration while supporting maximum airflow. The filter comes pre-oiled with 75 grams of red filter oil, providing long service life with routine cleaning and maintenance.
Designed as a direct bolt-on upgrade, the intake installs using factory mounting locations with minimal modifications. Because of its increased airflow capacity, an ECU tune with updated MAF calibration is required before driving the vehicle.
