Installation & Torque Procedure

Proper bolt stretch or torque is essential for achieving optimal big-end clearances and securing cap alignment. Use the provided ARP assembly lube during installation.

Step 1 – Pre-Torque Procedure

  • Torque bolts to 50 ft-lbs (3 times), breaking them loose in between, to ensure full thread seating.

Step 2 – Final Torque

  • Torque bolts to 50 ft-lbs using a torque wrench, or stretch bolts to .006" using a calibrated stretch gauge.

Note:

  • Always use ARP assembly lube

  • Never exceed bolt stretch specification

  • Do not reuse bolts if stretch is exceeded
