Description

The GSC Power-Division Billet S2 Camshaft Set is a high-performance valvetrain upgrade engineered for heavily modified Subaru EJ257 engines equipped with Dual AVCS. Manufactured by GSC Power-Division, the S2 camshafts are designed specifically for high horsepower applications, delivering maximum airflow and top-end power potential for serious performance builds.

Precision-machined from billet steel, the S2 cam profile is significantly more aggressive than entry-level cam options, making it ideal for built engines targeting 500 WHP and above. These camshafts are optimized for high-boost setups and are intended for use with upgraded turbo systems, ported cylinder heads, and fully built short blocks.

To fully utilize the S2 camshafts, a properly built engine configuration is required, including reinforced internals, ported heads, and advanced engine management tuning. This ensures safe operation and optimal performance under high load and high RPM conditions.

Upgraded valve springs are required due to the aggressive cam profile and increased valve lift. Beehive-style valve springs are strongly recommended to improve valvetrain stability and durability, especially in high-RPM applications.

Due to the increased lobe size, minor cylinder head casting clearance modification may be necessary during installation. Proper inspection and adjustment should be performed during assembly to ensure correct fitment.

Proper break-in procedure is essential for flat-tappet-style camshaft operation, including the use of high-zinc oil to ensure correct wear-in and long-term reliability. Installation should only be performed by an experienced technician familiar with performance engine builds.
