Description
The Garrett PowerMax Stage 1 GT1749S Twin Turbo Kit is a direct-fit performance upgrade for Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with the 3.5L EcoBoost twin-turbo V6. Designed as a Stage 1 upgrade, the Garrett PowerMax system increases turbocharger flow and performance capability while maintaining the factory-style installation configuration.
The PowerMax turbochargers provide 22% more flow than the OEM turbochargers and are designed to support up to 300 HP per turbocharger, based on compressor-map capability. Actual vehicle performance will vary depending on engine modifications, supporting hardware, tuning, and calibration.
Garrett uses a lightweight forged fully-machined compressor wheel with optimized compressor aerodynamics to improve airflow and efficiency compared with the factory turbochargers.

Garrett's current application data identifies the PowerMax Stage 1 system for the 2011–2017 3.5L EcoBoost platform, with the 5002S turbocharger versions used for the later applications listed above.
Important Fitment Note: The 2011–2012 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost uses different PowerMax turbocharger part numbers (881027-5001S left / 881028-5001S right) and should not be confused with the 2013–2017 F-150 configuration.
