Flatout Suspension GR40 Coilovers – Rally Competition Suspension with Adjustable Performance

The Flatout Suspension GR40 Coilovers are engineered for serious drivers who demand precision, strength, and consistency in rally and motorsport competition. Designed by Flatout Suspension for aggressive driving environments, the GR40 system provides a durable and highly capable suspension upgrade that can withstand the extreme forces of rally stages, rallycross courses, and demanding road conditions.

With an adjustable 0–2 inch ride height range, the Flatout Suspension GR40 allows drivers to fine-tune their vehicle’s stance, suspension geometry, and ground clearance. This adjustability makes it possible to tailor the suspension setup for a variety of surfaces including tarmac, gravel, dirt roads, and mixed rally stages while maintaining balanced handling and predictable performance.

To handle the stresses of motorsport use, the system features inverted front shocks that significantly increase structural strength and reduce flex under heavy loads. This design improves stability and durability when the suspension encounters harsh terrain, jumps, and repeated high-speed impacts.

Many applications also include external reservoir rear shocks, which increase oil capacity and help maintain consistent damping performance during extended competition use. The added fluid volume allows for improved cooling and resistance to fade, ensuring the suspension continues to perform even under prolonged stress.

The GR40 system uses proprietary rally valving paired with bypass piston technology. This design allows the suspension to remain compliant and comfortable at lower speeds while delivering firm, controlled damping when the vehicle is pushed harder on rough terrain or during competitive driving.

Soft rate LPS 2.5 ID linear springs are used to balance ride comfort and competition performance. These springs provide smooth behavior during transit driving while still delivering the support required for aggressive driving conditions.

The Flatout Suspension GR40 also retains OEM-style top mounts, which help maintain quiet operation and minimize noise, vibration, and harshness compared to many motorsport suspension setups.

Designed for longevity and serviceability, the coilovers feature electroplated shock bodies that provide approximately 7–10 years of corrosion resistance. The fully rebuildable construction ensures the system can be serviced and maintained for long-term performance in motorsport environments.

With 1-way rebound adjustability offering 20 tuning positions, drivers can easily tailor the suspension response to their driving style, track conditions, and terrain.

Backed by a 3-year warranty from Flatout Suspension, the GR40 coilover system provides both performance and confidence for drivers pushing their vehicles to the limit.

Why Rally Drivers Choose the GR40

Professional and grassroots rally drivers choose the Flatout Suspension GR40 for its combination of durability, precision handling, and real-world motorsport reliability.

The system is built to perform across gravel, tarmac, dirt roads, and mixed rally surfaces while maintaining predictable control and driver confidence. Unlike many performance suspensions designed purely for track use, the GR40 provides a balance of competition-ready performance and comfort during transit stages.

Because the system is rebuildable and serviceable, it can continue performing for years of competition use while allowing drivers to maintain and customize their setup over time.
