The Evolution Racewerks Sports Series High Flow Catted Primary Downpipes are engineered to dramatically reduce exhaust restriction and improve overall performance for the 2018–2023 BMW M5 and M8 equipped with the S63M twin-turbo V8 engine. The factory primary catalytic converters contain dense ceramic honeycomb structures that significantly restrict exhaust flow, slow turbocharger response, and limit horsepower potential. By replacing them with Evolution Racewerks’ high-flow 200-cell metallic catalytic converters, you gain more efficient exhaust scavenging, increased horsepower, quicker turbo spool, and sharper throttle response.
These downpipes are built entirely from 304 stainless steel, mandrel bent for optimal flow, and TIG welded in-house in the USA. A precision CNC-machined 3.5-inch V-Band flange replicates the factory turbocharger mounting geometry, ensuring leak-free sealing and perfect alignment. The factory O2 sensor positions are retained, and all brackets are CNC machined or laser cut for precise fitment. The system is 100% bolt-on and fully compatible with the OEM or any aftermarket secondary downpipes.
The included metallic catalytic converters withstand higher temperatures than factory ceramic units, offer significantly higher flow efficiency, and are more durable and lighter.
