Description
The Evolution Racewerks Charge Pipe Kit is engineered to solve one of the N55 engine’s most common issues—factory plastic charge pipe failure under increased boost. Constructed from lightweight and durable 6061 aluminum, this kit eliminates the weak OEM pipe and delivers improved throttle response, reduced turbo lag, and reliable performance even at elevated boost levels.
Featuring mandrel-bent aluminum for smooth airflow, the upper pipe uses full 3" piping to match the throttle body for maximum flow. Precision CNC-machined flanges replicate the factory-style o-ring connection for both the throttle body and MAP sensor, ensuring a leak-free seal and quick installation. This design far outperforms silicone hose clamp connections that can slip or leak under boost.
Each kit includes both upper and lower charge pipes, beaded pipe ends, T-bolt clamps, and a silicone hump hose to keep the system securely connected under high load. Two 1/8" NPT bungs (one per pipe) allow seamless integration of methanol or nitrous injectors, or can be used as boost/vacuum reference ports. Plugs are included for configurations not yet using injection systems.
For a customized look, finishes include brushed, mirror polish, or optional Type III Hard Black Anodizing, which also increases surface durability and helps resist dents and damage. The kit is compatible with the factory electronic diverter valve and includes all hardware needed for installation.
