Description
The Evolution Racewerks Competition Series Catless Secondary Downpipes are engineered to unlock significant power gains from the 2025+ BMW M5 G90 equipped with the twin-turbo S68 engine. By removing the restrictive secondary catalytic converters, these downpipes greatly reduce backpressure, improve turbo efficiency, and deliver faster spool, stronger torque, and sharper throttle response.
Manufactured in-house in the USA from 304 stainless steel, these downpipes use mandrel-bent 3-inch tubing for optimized flow and smooth exhaust transitions. With precision CNC-machined V-band flanges, TIG-welded construction, and factory-style slip connections, they install seamlessly and are designed for long-term reliability in both street and track environments.
Because these replace only the secondary catalytic converters, located after the secondary O2 sensors, they do not trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL).

Performance Benefits
Turbocharged engines are extremely sensitive to exhaust restrictions. The factory downpipes contain catalytic converters made from dense honeycomb material that introduces significant backpressure and turbulence. By removing the secondary catalytic converters, these Competition Series Downpipes improve flow velocity, reduce restrictions, and allow exhaust gases to exit more efficiently.

Construction Quality
Each downpipe is crafted from 100 percent 304 stainless steel, mandrel-bent for consistent diameter, and welded using TIG processes for exceptional strength and finish. Evolution Racewerks machines their billet 304 stainless V-band flanges in-house for precise turbine housing alignment. OEM-style hangers, O2 bungs, and brackets are CNC-machined or laser cut and TIG welded into place. Installation is fully bolt-on using factory-style slip connections.
The downpipes ship standard with a brushed finish.
Secondary Downpipe Specifics
The BMW G90 M5 uses four catalytic converters: two primary and two secondary. These Competition Series Downpipes replace only the secondary converters. As these are located downstream of the secondary O2 sensors, replacing them does not affect catalyst monitoring and does not trigger a Check Engine Light (CEL). They will mate with the factory primary section or any aftermarket primary downpipes.
Ceramic Thermal Coating Option
An optional high-temperature ceramic coating is available to reduce underhood heat radiation and maintain higher exhaust gas energy inside the pipe. Benefits include:
