Description
The Eventuri BMW G2X / G42 M40i B58 Black Carbon Intake System for post-November 2018 models is designed to significantly enhance airflow to the turbo while maintaining low inlet temperatures. In models such as the G20 M340i, G22 M440i, and G42 M240i, the intake is located next to the exhaust manifold, leading to heat soak in the engine bay. High temperatures result in lower performance due to the turbocharger drawing in heated, less dense air. This fully sealed intake system addresses the problem by keeping intake temperatures down while optimizing airflow with a dual cold air feed system.

- Heat Management: To combat heat soak, this intake features a fully sealed carbon fiber airbox with dual cold air feeds, a heat shield with gold reflective backing, and a carbon fiber inlet tube. This design keeps intake temperatures low and improves turbo response.
- Dual Cold Air Feeds: In addition to the stock cold air duct, Eventuri incorporated a secondary feed that pulls air from the wheel arch area. This ensures the intake has an unrestricted airflow supply, reducing the strain on the turbo and improving overall performance.
- Improved Airflow Path: The intake tube is engineered with a smooth carbon fiber design that tapers from a large 111mm (4.4") diameter down to match the turbo inlet, providing a laminar airflow path and reducing turbo drag.
