Description
The F90 M5 has impressed users and critics alike with its awe-inspiring power, effortless delivery, and embodiment of refined performance. While the stock exhaust note of the F90 M5 is aggressive, Dinan believes this powerful car deserves to bellow louder and more aggressively. The goal is to let the machine sound as impressive as it performs, without sacrificing anything in the process. Dinan's Free Flow Axle-Back Exhaust achieves this with no compromise on drone, civility, appearance, or any other aspect.
To achieve the desired sound volume and tone, Dinan enlarged the tubing to 83mm (vs 80mm stock), allowing freer flow throughout the system. The larger tubing feeds into a muffler that utilizes absorption and reactive technologies designed to improve exhaust flow and reduce backpressure. The combination results in increased power output and a great sporty sound that is civilized when you want it to be, and pleasantly aggressive under hard acceleration. The retained computer-controlled exhaust valves limit noise during low-speed driving and open fully during high-load conditions to allow greater sound and free flow as the bulk of the gases bypass the muffler. Dinan's M5 Free Flow Exhaust is engineered to reduce low-RPM drone, ensuring an intimate cabin environment without excessive loudness.
The exhaust system is skillfully crafted from T304 stainless steel and TIG welded for the best visual appearance and durability. The entire system is brush finished to guarantee an immaculate look out of the box. The Dinan exhaust features enormous quad 4" (102mm) clamp-on, double-walled, polished and laser engraved exhaust tips. These tips retain Dinan's signature straight-cut design, standing out in a market full of angle cuts. The tips masterfully fill and accentuate the factory cut-outs, showcasing an aggressive yet refined style that turns heads even before it's heard.
