Description

The larger-flowing downpipe helps the turbocharger spool more efficiently, allowing it to build boost at lower engine speeds and recover boost more quickly after gear changes. Installation of the downpipe alone can provide typical gains of approximately 15 HP and 25 Nm of torque, depending on the vehicle configuration and supporting modifications.
The improved exhaust flow also enhances the exhaust sound, giving your MINI a deeper and more performance-oriented exhaust note.
The DCE Parts downpipe can be equipped with a High-Flow Catalytic Converter, including a 200-cell Sport Metallic Catalytic Converter, providing improved exhaust flow while retaining catalytic-converter functionality.
For optimal performance, ECU software optimization may be required depending on the vehicle configuration. Software calibration may also be necessary to address potential Check Engine Light (CEL) errors.
