Description

Upgrade the exhaust flow, sound, and performance potential of your BMW S58-powered F97 X3M or F98 X4M with the DCE Parts High-Flow Equal Length X-Pipe Hybrid OPF Delete Midpipe. Designed with a less restrictive configuration, this midpipe significantly reduces exhaust backpressure while improving exhaust flow and providing a deeper, throatier, and more distinctive exhaust note.

The equal-length design is engineered to balance the exhaust runner lengths from both cylinder banks, with cylinders 1–3 on one bank and cylinders 4–6 on the other. By equalizing the exhaust path, the system creates a more harmonious sound profile that can give the S58 a character closer to a traditional straight-six engine, with a more refined and motorsport-inspired exhaust tone.

The integrated X-pipe section is specifically designed to merge and mix exhaust pulses from both cylinder banks. This combination of equal-length routing and X-pipe pulse mixing produces a deeper, more pronounced, and throatier sound while maintaining a high-flow exhaust configuration.

With reduced backpressure, the DCE Parts midpipe is designed to support improved throttle response and quicker turbo spool. It can also provide increased lower- and mid-range performance potential, particularly on vehicles operating with increased airflow and boost levels.

Available in stainless steel or titanium construction, the midpipe is lighter than the original equipment exhaust system. Variants are available with or without OPF bungs, allowing the configuration to be selected according to the vehicle and installation requirements.
