The larger-flowing downpipe is designed to help reduce exhaust backpressure and improve turbocharger response. Depending on the vehicle, ECU calibration, and supporting modifications, installing a performance downpipe can contribute to quicker turbo spool, improved throttle response, and a more aggressive exhaust sound.
The DCE Parts B48 Downpipe is available in multiple configurations, including full straight decat, catalytic-converter-look catless, and high-flow catalytic converter options. This allows customers to select the configuration that best matches their intended performance setup.
For catless configurations, ECU remapping may be required to accommodate the modified exhaust system and optimize vehicle operation. Actual performance gains vary depending on the vehicle, ECU calibration, fuel, and supporting modifications.
