Upgrade the sound of your S55-equipped BMW with the S55 T51R Turbo Mod, designed to maximize the audible characteristics of your OEM turbochargers. This modification produces the aggressive, high-performance turbo sound commonly associated with large top-mount turbo setups or turbo diesel engines, giving your S55 engine a bold and unmistakable presence under acceleration.
The T51R Mod is plug-and-play and requires no retune or supporting modifications. For maximum effect, an aftermarket turbo inlet is recommended, as OEM inlet pipes are designed to muffle turbo noise and may slightly reduce the impact of this modification.
Permanent & Non-Reversible Installation: The T51R insert is installed permanently into your turbo housing. A core rebate program is available: return your removed housing within 30 days to receive $300 per housing.
Made-to-Order Options:
Option 1 — Send-In Service:
- Send in your turbo housing(s).
- We machine and install the T51R Mod in-house.
- Modified housing(s) are shipped back completed.
- Shipping address provided via email receipt/invoice.
Option 2 — In-Stock Housing Purchase:
- Purchase a pre-stocked housing from us.
- We machine and install the T51R Mod in-house.
- Finished housing shipped to you for convenient swap.
- Core rebate of $300 available per returned removed housing.
Rear or Both Turbo Selection:
- Specify whether you want the rear turbo modified or both turbos modified.
- Pure Stage 2+ is currently available rear turbo only and requires Option 1.
