The factory intercooler can become susceptible to heat soak under sustained boost and high ambient temperatures. The COBB Intercooler Kit addresses this limitation with a high-capacity Garrett intercooler core that is approximately 101% larger than the factory unit, providing increased cooling capacity while maintaining an airflow-focused design.

The intercooler features a 26.2 x 7 x 4.25-inch core with cast aluminum end tanks engineered to distribute airflow across the cooling surface. On either side of the core, 2.5-inch mandrel-bent aluminum charge pipes provide an optimized airflow path. The tubing features a wrinkle-black powder-coated finish, creating a clean, understated appearance that complements the vehicle's engine bay.

Custom silicone couplers and constant-tension clamps help maintain secure connections, while COBB-designed billet upper mounts and new upper and lower bushings provide additional support for the upgraded intercooler assembly.
