Description
The CarBahn Performance 684 HP Stage 1 Performance Controller is a plug-and-play ECU tuning solution designed for select BMW M60i and 760i applications. The CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC) is engineered to increase turbocharged engine horsepower and torque while providing selectable performance maps through a Bluetooth-connected smartphone application.
The CPC is designed for easy installation and provides different calibrations for 91, 93, and 100 octane fuel, allowing the vehicle's performance map to be matched to the available fuel.
On 93-octane fuel, the controller produces up to 668 calculated flywheel horsepower and 734 lb-ft of torque, with measured wheel output of 548 WHP and 602 WTQ.
With 100-octane fuel, output increases to 684 calculated flywheel horsepower and 759 lb-ft of torque, with measured wheel output of 561 WHP and 622 WTQ.
The controller has an estimated installation time of approximately 2 hours.

CarBahn Performance Controller (CPC)
The CarBahn Performance Controller is an easy-to-install electronic control unit designed for turbocharged vehicles. The plug-and-play system increases boost pressure to significantly increase horsepower and torque.
Selectable performance maps are accessible through a smartphone application using Bluetooth connectivity.

If you choose to switch from the CarBahn Performance Controller to CarBahn software in the future, a $250 upgrade fee applies. If a warranty was purchased with the controller, the warranty can be transferred to the software upgrade at no additional charge.
Emissions Legality
CarBahn states that removing the catalytic converter, commonly through the use of aftermarket downpipes, provides a relatively small performance increase. Based on its testing, the power gain is typically around 2%.
Operating a vehicle without its required catalytic converter can make it difficult to obtain required emissions certification and may be illegal depending on applicable regulations.
