Description
The CANchecked Porsche 997 911 MFD28 Multi Function Display is a compact and configurable 2.8-inch digital display designed for enthusiasts, tuners, and performance-focused builds using a standalone ECU. The CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 provides a convenient way to monitor critical engine and vehicle data while integrating cleanly into the vehicle's ventilation system.
Designed for Porsche 911 997 Carrera, GT2, and GT3 models, the MFD28 Gen2 combines CAN Bus integration, touchscreen controls, customizable display pages, expandable sensor inputs, configurable alarms, data logging, and integrated performance measurement functions.
The display can show gear information directly through CAN Bus or calculate it using vehicle speed and RPM. Up to four analog inputs and an ethanol sensor can be connected directly to the display, while CAN Switching allows the MFD28 to function as a keypad and send custom CAN messages to the vehicle network.

CANchecked products communicate directly with the vehicle through the CAN Bus. CAN Bus became widely available in production vehicles from approximately 2008 onwards, but compatibility and available data depend on the vehicle manufacturer, model, model year, installed control units, and software version.
Many modern vehicles provide limited information through standard OBD diagnostics. For selected vehicles, CANchecked offers dedicated integrations that can access additional vehicle data directly from internal vehicle communication networks. Available functions and parameters may vary between vehicles, including vehicles within the same model range.
