The CANchecked Audi C8 A6 / S6 / RS6 MFD28 Multi Function Display is a compact and configurable 2.8-inch Gen2 touchscreen digital display designed for Audi C8 A6, S6, RS6, A7, S7, and RS7 models. The LHD-specific display integrates into the vehicle's ventilation system while maintaining airflow, providing a clean and functional solution for monitoring critical engine and vehicle data.
The MFD28 Gen2 uses CAN Bus integration to access detailed vehicle information and can display parameters such as gear position. Gear information can be displayed directly through CAN Bus or calculated using vehicle speed and RPM. The touchscreen interface provides intuitive swipe navigation between customizable display pages.
Designed for enthusiasts and tuners, the CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 supports up to four analog inputs and an ethanol sensor for expanded monitoring capabilities. CAN Switching allows the display to function as a keypad and send custom CAN messages to the vehicle's CAN Bus.
Customizable alarms can provide prominent warnings when monitored parameters exceed user-defined limits, while the integrated Performance Meter can measure 0-100, 100-200, and 0-200 acceleration times without requiring additional hardware. Vehicle data can also be logged to the internal SD card for later analysis.

CAN Bus became widely available in production vehicles from approximately 2008 onwards, but compatibility and available data depend on the vehicle manufacturer, model, model year, installed control units, and software version.
Many modern vehicles provide limited information through standard OBD diagnostics. For selected vehicles, CANchecked offers dedicated integrations that can access additional vehicle data directly from internal vehicle communication networks. Available functions and parameters may vary between vehicles, including vehicles within the same model range.
