JB4PRO Wireless Smartphone Connectivity
The JB4PRO smartphone connection allows you to wirelessly connect your JB4 tuner to a Bluetooth 4.0-compatible iOS or Android device.
Through the free JB4PRO app, you can change JB4 performance maps, monitor engine parameters, record vehicle data, analyze tuning logs, update JB4 firmware, and access additional tuning information.
The JB4PRO adapter is integrated inside the JB4 enclosure for improved weather protection and a streamlined installation. The app includes an intuitive interface, help functions, and advanced log-analysis tools that can help estimate vehicle performance and identify potential tuning concerns.
Some F10 and X-chassis BMW models require a JB4PRO Bluetooth adapter to select option bit #1 in the free JB4PRO app and enable the in-dash controls for those models.
What Is a JB4?
The Burger Tuning JB4 is a plug-and-play performance tuning system designed for turbocharged vehicles. The tuner connects between the vehicle's sensors and DME/ECU and uses those connections to manipulate engine performance.
The JB4 distinguishes itself through advanced connection points, CANbus integration, fuel and spark control, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, and multiple tuning features. Burger Tuning regularly provides free mapping and firmware updates that can add new performance capabilities and features.
The JB4 is also not VIN locked, allowing it to be removed and transferred to another compatible vehicle or resold later.
Is the JB4 a Real Tune?
Yes. The JB4 is a genuine performance tuning system. By accessing specific sensors and CANbus data in real time, the JB4 can alter boost, timing, AFR, and fuel trims in a manner comparable to an ECU reflash while avoiding a permanent rewrite of the vehicle's DME.
This allows the JB4 to deliver significant power and torque gains while retaining factory safety systems and avoiding the need to permanently unlock or flag the ECU.

Wastegate Identification
The correct JB4 version depends on the wastegate configuration of the vehicle. BMW N20/N26 applications may use either a Pneumatic Wastegate (PWG) or Electronic Wastegate (EWG).
For the BMW 2 Series and 4 Series applications specified above, select the EWG Electronic Wastegate version.
Verify your vehicle's wastegate configuration before ordering to ensure the correct JB4 version is selected.
