Unlike standard performance chips, the JB4 features full CANbus integration, upgradable firmware, and advanced data logging. This sophisticated system continuously monitors throttle input, gear, RPM, air/fuel ratios, fuel trims, ignition timing, knock feedback, and more, adjusting performance in real-time. It also reads and clears fault codes and includes intelligent safety strategies, such as:
- Lowering boost until oil and coolant reach optimal temperature
- Switching to low-boost mode under overheating, lean conditions, knock, or overboost
The JB4 provides unmatched performance, safety, and functionality, surpassing basic tuning boxes. The default Map 1 runs about 4psi over stock peak, with additional maps—including stock and valet—selectable on the fly via a BMS diagnostics cable or the JB4PRO mobile adapter. Installation is clean and discreet, and the unit is fully removable with no trace. Supports 91 octane, 93 octane, and E85 ethanol blends, while maintaining normal fuel economy in daily driving.
