Description
The Burger Tuning BMS Universal CANflex CANbus E85 Analyzer (ECA) is a high-precision ethanol content monitoring solution designed for performance vehicles running flex fuel. It reads data directly from a flex fuel sensor and outputs the ethanol percentage through CANbus, allowing compatible ECUs, flash-only DMEs, and JB4 systems to automatically adjust tuning parameters based on real-time fuel composition.
This system now includes a built-in LED display, giving you instant visual confirmation of your ethanol mixture without relying on a mobile device.
Flex fuel sensor kit is sold separately.

LED Display Information
The included LED display allows quick, real-time ethanol monitoring from inside the cabin, glove box, or engine bay.
Important notes regarding the LED display:
- The display is not waterproof
- If mounted in the engine bay, it must be protected from moisture
- An “01” reading indicates a sensor communication error
- The decimal indicator illuminates when CANbus communication is active
Low Fuel Pressure Monitoring (Optional)
Low fuel pressure monitoring is critical for high-horsepower applications, especially vehicles equipped with port injection systems.
The CANflex supports an optional 10 bar low fuel pressure sensor kit, available separately from Fuel-It!. This allows low fuel pressure data to be transmitted over CANbus to supported tuning platforms.
The optional kit includes:
- 10 bar low fuel pressure sensor
- 1/8" NPT angle tee for simplified installation
Harness Options and Installation
Universal Harness
- Designed for maximum compatibility
- Supports JB4, BM3, MHD, ECUtek, and other tuning platforms
- Can be installed at the front or rear of the vehicle
- Uses removable posi-taps for CANbus connections
- Required for rear-mounted flex fuel sensor kits
Plug-and-Play (PnP) Harness
- Direct plug-and-play solution
- Automatic transmission vehicles only
- Requires the flex fuel sensor to be mounted in the engine bay near the ECU
- Not compatible with rear-mounted flex fuel sensor kits
- Not compatible with BM3 tuning software
Harness Compatibility and Fitment
Vehicles Compatible with the PnP Harness
- BMW GEN2 B58 vehicles with automatic transmissions
- BMW S58-powered X3M and X4M with automatic transmissions
All other vehicles and configurations must use the universal harness.
Wiring Guide for Universal Harness
- Red: 12V switched power via fuse tap or posi-tap
- Black: Ground
- Brown: CAN- signal
- Green: CAN+ signal
- Blue: 5V legacy analog output for JB4 or non-CANbus applications
Flex Fuel Sensor Compatibility
- Compatible with front-mounted flex fuel sensor kits
- Compatible with rear-mounted flex fuel sensor kits
