Unlike standard tuning chips, the JB4 features a fully programmable CANbus system, upgradable firmware, and advanced data logging. This allows the JB4 to dynamically account for throttle input, gear selection, engine speed, air/fuel ratios, ignition timing, knock detection, and more. It also reads and clears fault codes, and incorporates sophisticated safety protocols such as:
- Low boost until oil and water reach optimal temperatures
- Automatic boost reduction under high temperatures, lean conditions, knock events, or overboost
The JB4 delivers unparalleled performance, safety, and functionality, all while remaining fully discreet. Installation is simple and non-invasive, and the unit can be removed quickly without leaving a trace. Multiple tuning maps support 91 and 93 octane, as well as E85 ethanol blends, with no compromise to fuel efficiency in normal driving. It remains compatible with all vehicle driving modes.
