SwitchPath™ Exhaust
The SwitchPath™ Exhaust is engineered for versatility with smooth bends and tight packaging. It features a valved passenger-side tip outlet that retains factory valve behavior, allowing your Golf R’s ECU to command the exhaust based on throttle input, engine speed, and Drive Select settings. Experience a refined sound when the valves are closed and unleash a signature AWE tune with enhanced crackles when opened in Dynamic mode.
Track Edition Exhaust
For those who prefer a raw and aggressive sound, the AWE Track Edition delivers. This version maintains all the performance benefits of the SwitchPath™ but operates in a constant “valve open” mode, eliminating the passenger-side valve and driver-side muffler. Note that this exhaust is known to produce a loud sound, which may be too much for some. Due to its nature, this version cannot be returned based on sound preference.
Conversion Kits
Easily convert between SwitchPath™ and Track Edition configurations with available conversion kits if you decide to change your volume preferences later.
Tip Options

Valve Simulators: Why Do You Need Them?
When using the Track Edition exhaust, AWE’s Electronic Valve Simulators prevent the ECU from storing codes due to the removal of the exhaust valves. These simple devices plug directly into the factory harness, ensuring smooth operation without any stored codes. They come as a set of two for easy installation.
