The ARM Motorsport N55 Intake is a complete high-performance induction system engineered specifically for BMW N55 engines found in E-series chassis. This system is designed to dramatically improve airflow efficiency, turbo response, and overall engine performance by completely rethinking the factory intake path from turbo to filter.

Advanced Intake Design
The ARM N55 Intake shortens the factory intake path by 68%, significantly improving air delivery to the turbocharger. By relocating the air filter behind the headlight area, airflow is straighter, smoother, and far less restrictive compared to OEM routing.
At the core of the system is a fully redesigned turbo inlet. This inlet is engineered for OEM-like fitment while expanding rapidly to a 3” diameter, maintaining that size throughout the entire intake system up to the filter. Compared to the factory 46mm restriction, the ARM inlet increases size to 75mm, representing a 63% improvement over stock design.
The intake system also incorporates a large high-flow air filter positioned in the optimal space behind the passenger headlight. This filter provides 124 cubic inches of filtration surface area in a compact oval design, allowing maximum airflow without compromising fitment around surrounding components.
Engineered Features
The intake runner pipe is designed with multiple integrated functions for performance and reliability. It includes:
- CNC-machined MAF sensor flange for secure and precise sealing
- Relocated MAF sensor position for optimized airflow measurement
- Integrated PCV port to maintain factory PCV system functionality
- Reinforced open-ended support bracket for stability during aggressive driving
To simplify installation, a dedicated MAF extension harness is included. This plug-and-play solution connects directly to the factory wiring with no cutting or splicing required, extending the sensor connection cleanly to its new location.
