The airbox features a configurable heat shield system that isolates the filter from engine heat while preserving the strong airflow characteristics of the existing APR intake components. By default, the airbox operates in an open configuration, allowing maximum turbo and induction sound. For drivers seeking a quieter, more refined setup, the included removable panel converts the system into a closed intake design.
