Overview
The APR High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP) enhances fuel delivery by 41% over stock, enabling your vehicle's direct injection system to meet the demands of high horsepower setups. This is achieved by increasing the pump's displacement using top-quality components manufactured to precise tolerances.
How the Direct Injection System Works
- Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP): Delivers fuel to the HPFP at approximately 4 to 6 bar.
- High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP): Increases fuel pressure up to a maximum of 136 bar, supplying high-pressure fuel directly to the injectors.
The Problem
The pump's ability to displace fuel is tied to its internal bore size and camshaft stroke, impacting performance, especially under high-demand conditions. Upgraded superchargers and turbochargers can overburden the fuel system, particularly at lower RPMs.
