Overview

How the Direct Injection System Works
- Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP): Delivers fuel from the tank to the HPFP at approximately 4 to 6 bar.
- High Pressure Fuel Pump (HPFP): Elevates pressure to a maximum of 145 bar, supplying fuel directly to the injectors.
The Problem
The fuel displacement capacity of the HPFP is limited by:
- Internal bore size
- Camshaft-driven stroke
- Engine speed
Factory turbochargers can place significant stress on this system, particularly in lower RPM ranges.
The APR Solution
APR increases fuel displacement at every RPM by enlarging the pump's bore diameter. This upgrade focuses on enhancing fuel volume to maintain steady fuel pressure during demanding conditions, rather than merely increasing rail pressure.

Please note this is an upgrade of your existing pump; you must send your pump to APR for rebuilding. Ensure the pump and solenoids are in working order, and package it carefully to avoid damage during transit. To maximize performance, specific software is available for various 2.5T models.
