At the heart of the intake is Takeda’s large 360° radial flow Pro 5R air filter, featuring a 3.5" flange and five progressively finer layers of pre-oiled cotton gauze. This design offers the highest flow capability within Takeda’s lineup while maintaining excellent filtration efficiency. The filter’s inverted top increases surface area, extending service intervals and improving overall airflow.
Surrounding the filter is a durable, open-element XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) housing designed to shield the filter from engine heat while allowing cool air to move freely. The open design not only enhances sound but also allows easy visual inspection. A redesigned, enlarged air inlet pulls additional air from the factory scoop to maximize intake efficiency.
The system includes a computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube made from heat-resistant XLPE. This ensures optimized airflow, consistent performance, and a perfect fit within the engine bay. Takeda’s innovative filter-to-housing interface simplifies installation by reducing part count and ensuring a secure, leak-free connection.
