The aFe Takeda Momentum Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter (afeTM-2013B-R) is engineered to deliver maximum airflow, horsepower, and throttle response for the Scion FR-S, Subaru BRZ, and Toyota 86 equipped with the 2.0L H4 engine. Designed using advanced CAD technology and validated through extensive dyno testing, this sealed intake system provides aggressive performance gains while maintaining a precise OEM-quality fit.
In dyno testing, the Takeda Momentum intake produced gains of up to +9 horsepower and +10 lb-ft of torque, while flowing 54% more air than the factory intake system. This system features a high-performance Pro 5R air filter constructed with five layers of progressively woven, pre-oiled cotton gauze media, engineered for maximum airflow and power output. The Pro 5R filter is washable and reusable, designed for high-performance street and track use.
A sealed one-piece rotomolded air box with an integrated air scoop captures cool ambient air from the front of the vehicle while shielding the intake charge from engine bay heat. The included wrinkle black dyno-tuned rotomolded intake tube ensures smooth, unrestricted airflow into the engine, increasing torque and throttle response throughout the RPM range.
This intake system is a direct bolt-on upgrade and includes all necessary hardware for a hassle-free installation with no cutting or permanent modifications required.
