Description
Modern automobiles have replaced traditional throttle cables with Electronic Control Modules (ECMs), translating pedal travel into electronic signals for power delivery. However, Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) systems, also known as drive-by-wire, can suffer from delayed throttle response and subdued acceleration, causing issues in scenarios like uphill starts, quick gear changes, and overtaking. The Sprint Booster addresses these delays, providing crisp, on-tap acceleration.
Simple Plug-and-Play Installation The Sprint Booster is designed for vehicles with ETC systems. It plugs into the OE connector behind the accelerator pedal, requiring no cutting or interference with the vehicle's electronics. It does not affect other systems such as electronic injection, ABS, etc.
Three Acceleration Modes Switch between three main acceleration modes with the press of a button:
- Off Mode: LED off, factory settings.
- Sport Mode: LED green, up to 30% improved throttle response.
- Race Mode: LED red, up to 60% improved throttle response.
18 Acceleration Programs Each mode offers nine programs, allowing drivers to fine-tune acceleration:
- SPORT mode: Programs 1-9.
- RACE mode: Programs 1-9.
- Adjust using the arrow buttons on the device.
Automatic and Manual Transmission Compatibility Sprint Booster adjusts programs for both automatic and manual transmissions:
- 36 total programs (18 for each transmission type).
- Select transmission type via a slide switch on the device.
Valet and Pedal Lock Modes
- Valet Mode: Limits acceleration by 55%, 65%, or 75%, activated/deactivated with a three-digit PIN.
- Pedal Lock Mode: Extra protection against unauthorized use, deactivates acceleration with a three-digit PIN.
Enhanced Drivability
- Improved throttle response for effortless downshifts and safer overtaking.
- Noticeable improvement in transmission shifts for vehicles with automatic transmissions.
