The aFe POWER Quantum Cold Air Intake System with Pro DRY S Filter is engineered to deliver increased airflow, improved torque, and reliable filtration for GM Duramax 6.6L diesel trucks. Featuring a patent-pending integrated filter-to-housing design, the Quantum intake combines advanced airflow technology with simplified installation and long-term durability.
This system delivers dyno-proven gains of up to +11 horsepower and +22 lb-ft of torque, while flowing 38% more air than the factory intake. With a measured airflow of 740 CFM @ 7" H₂O, the Quantum intake significantly improves engine breathing, throttle response, and overall drivability—ideal for towing, hauling, and performance applications.
At the core of the system is the Quantum Pro DRY S oil-free performance air filter. This 360-degree radial flow filter features three layers of progressively finer synthetic media, providing excellent filtration efficiency without the need for oiling. Designed specifically for Quantum intake systems, the filter incorporates an injection-molded base and top for reduced weight and increased rigidity, along with a built-in 3-angle velocity stack to promote smooth, even airflow. Captive screws secure the filter to the housing, ensuring a tight seal and eliminating lost hardware.
The roto-molded intake housing utilizes a rugged five-rib industrial design, offering long-lasting durability while maintaining a clean, aggressive under-hood appearance. The integrated filter-to-housing interface creates a positive surface-area seal and allows for quick, hassle-free installation.
A dyno-tuned, CAD-designed intake tube optimizes airflow efficiency while maintaining an OEM-style fit. Constructed from high-impact XLPE material, the intake tube resists heat soak and engine bay temperatures for consistent performance.
The system also includes a silicone bellows coupling, designed to absorb engine movement and provide flexibility for a secure, leak-free installation. With fewer components than traditional intake systems, the Quantum intake installs quickly using factory mounting locations with no cutting or modifications required.
