The aFe POWER Quantum Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter represents the next evolution in airflow technology for 2017–2019 GM Duramax 6.6L diesel trucks. Featuring a patent-pending, integrated filter-to-housing design, the Quantum intake delivers exceptional airflow efficiency, dyno-proven performance gains, and fast, hassle-free installation.
On the dyno, this system achieved gains of up to +8 horsepower and +21 lb-ft of torque, while flowing an impressive 755 CFM at 7 inches H₂O—outflowing the factory intake by 82%. Designed for performance-driven diesel owners, the Quantum intake improves throttle response, towing performance, and overall engine efficiency.
At the heart of the system is the Pro 5R performance air filter, utilizing five layers of oiled progressive cotton media for maximum airflow and superior filtration. The filter features an injection-molded base and top for lightweight strength, along with a built-in three-angle velocity stack that promotes smooth, even airflow into the intake tube.
The CAD-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube is constructed from high-impact XLPE material, offering excellent heat soak resistance and long-term durability while maintaining a precise OEM-style fit. A silicone bellows coupling absorbs engine movement and ensures a secure seal under all driving conditions.
Engineered as a direct-fit system, the Quantum Cold Air Intake installs using factory mounting points with no cutting or modifications required. All clamps, couplings, and hardware are included for a quick and clean installation. Like all aFe POWER products, this intake system is engineered and manufactured in Corona, California.
