The aFe POWER Momentum HD Cold Air Intake System with Pro 10R Filter is engineered to deliver maximum airflow, exceptional torque gains, and superior filtration for 2020–2025 GM HD trucks equipped with the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine. Designed specifically for heavy-duty towing, hauling, and off-road use, this intake system combines race-proven engineering with long-term durability.
During dyno testing, the Momentum HD intake delivered gains of up to +16 horsepower and +44 lb-ft of torque, while outflowing the factory intake by an impressive 56%. Measured airflow reaches 710 CFM at 7 inches of H₂O, providing the increased volume and velocity required for modern turbo-diesel performance.
At the core of this system is a massive Pro 10R performance air filter, featuring ten layers of progressively finer cotton gauze oiled media. This 9-inch tall, 360-degree radial flow filter is designed for maximum dust-holding capacity and extended service intervals, making it ideal for off-road and severe-duty applications. Its inverted top and reinforced internal structure prevent filter collapse while maximizing usable surface area.
The intake utilizes a patented filter-to-housing interface (US Pat. 9,440,175) that allows the largest possible filter to be used while simplifying service. Once installed, the filter can be removed for maintenance by simply disconnecting the intake tube—no need to remove the entire housing.
Airflow is directed through a one-piece sealed housing constructed from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) to minimize heat soak and maximize intake air density. The housing incorporates factory air scoop inlets without additional hardware and includes an auxiliary air inlet for increased airflow. A large clear sight window allows quick filter inspection without disassembly.
A computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube, also made from heat-resistant XLPE, ensures optimal airflow while maintaining precise factory fitment. Premium stainless-steel T-bolt clamps and a silicone-reinforced coupling provide a secure, leak-free seal and long-term durability.
