The aFe POWER Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System with Pro DRY S Filter is engineered to improve airflow efficiency, throttle response, and long-term filtration performance for GM 6.6L gas-powered HD trucks. Featuring a fully sealed housing and a patent-protected filter-to-housing interface, this intake system delivers consistent performance while maintaining OEM-style fit and ease of maintenance.
The Momentum GT intake outflows the factory system by 24%, with a measured airflow of 535 CFM @ 7" H₂O, helping the engine breathe more efficiently across the RPM range. The sealed housing design draws cooler outside air through the factory air inlet, while an auxiliary air inlet supplies additional airflow when engine demand increases.
At the core of the system is a large 360-degree radial flow Pro DRY S air filter, constructed with three layers of oil-free synthetic media. The Pro DRY S filter provides excellent filtration efficiency and dust-holding capacity without the need for oiling, making it ideal for daily driving and light off-road use. Its inverted-top design increases usable filter surface area, resulting in extended service intervals and reduced maintenance.
The Momentum GT filter-to-housing interface is engineered to accommodate the largest possible air filter while simplifying service. Once installed, the air filter can be removed for cleaning by disconnecting only the intake tube—no need to remove the entire housing.
The one-piece sealed intake housing is constructed from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and features a smooth internal surface for optimal airflow. A large clear sight window allows quick filter inspections without disassembly, while the housing’s integrated design reduces the total number of components for a clean, secure installation.
A computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube optimizes airflow while maintaining a precise factory-style fit. Manufactured from durable XLPE material, the intake tube resists heat soak and harsh engine bay conditions.
Premium installation components include stainless-steel T-bolt clamps for superior strength and a high-quality bellows coupling that absorbs engine movement, ensuring a reliable, leak-free seal. With fewer parts than traditional intake systems, installation is quick, straightforward, and completely bolt-on using factory mounting locations.
