The aFe POWER Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter is engineered to significantly increase airflow, horsepower, and torque for 2014–2020 GM full-size trucks and SUVs equipped with V8 engines. Designed using advanced CAD modeling and validated through extensive testing, this sealed intake system delivers the ideal combination of power, efficiency, and long-term durability.
At the center of the Momentum GT system is a high-quality one-piece sealed airbox, roto-molded from heat-soak resistant black cross-linked polyethylene. This design eliminates the airflow losses and heat intrusion common in multi-piece housings while ensuring the coolest possible intake charge. An auxiliary air inlet enhances airflow, and the integrated clear sight window allows quick inspection of the air filter without removing the airbox. The patented housing-to-filter interface (US Patent 9,440,175) simplifies installation while maximizing usable filter surface area.
Airflow efficiency is further improved with a CAD-designed, dyno-tuned roto-molded intake tube, engineered to maintain perfect fitment with factory components while increasing volumetric efficiency. This intake system delivers up to +14 horsepower and +17 lb-ft of torque, while outflowing the factory intake by up to 30% and supporting a 550 CFM rating at 7 inches of H₂O.
Filtration is handled by a large Pro 5R performance air filter, featuring five layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze oiled media for maximum airflow and excellent filtration efficiency. The oversized cone filter uses a massive oval flange, inverted top design, and a 100% polyurethane frame, allowing for multiple cleaning cycles and long service life.
Installation is fast and straightforward, requiring no cutting or drilling of factory components, and the system is secured using premium clamps and hardware for a leak-free, long-lasting fit. This intake system is compatible with GM Silverado and Sierra models equipped with either mechanical or electric fans, but does not fit vehicles equipped with the eAssist powertrain.
