The Momentum GT Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5R Filter is engineered to enhance airflow, throttle response, and overall engine performance for the 2020–2024 Ford Explorer 2.3L EcoBoost. Designed with precision airflow engineering and dyno validation, this intake system provides reliable performance gains while maintaining superior filtration and OEM-quality fitment.
This system outflows the factory intake by 13% and delivers a measured airflow of 220 CFM at 7" H₂O, allowing the turbocharged engine to breathe more efficiently for improved responsiveness and acceleration.
At the heart of the system is a large, five-layer Pro 5R performance air filter. This pre-oiled 360-degree radial flow filter features progressively finer cotton gauze media to provide maximum airflow while maintaining effective filtration. Designed for street and track use, the Pro 5R filter typically delivers the highest power gains among available filter media. Its inverted top increases surface area, extending service intervals and ensuring sustained performance. The filter is fully washable and reusable for long-term convenience and value.
The intake features a one-piece sealed housing constructed from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE). The patented filter-to-housing interface minimizes components for a cleaner design and easier installation. A large clear sight window allows quick inspection of the filter without disassembly, ensuring hassle-free maintenance.
A computer-designed, dyno-tuned intake tube, built from durable XLPE material, maximizes airflow while maintaining OEM-style fitment and resistance to heat soak. Premium hardware includes stainless-steel clamps and a high-quality silicone coupling, providing a secure, leak-free seal and long-term durability.
