Manufactured from high-durometer rubber with an optimized, void-free design, 034Motorsport Street Density Motor Mounts eliminate the drivetrain slop and potential leakage or collapse associated with factory fluid-filled mounts. Their high-quality cast aluminum bodies are manufactured using OEM production techniques and feature electronic emulators that replicate the operation of factory active motor mounts, supporting plug-and-play installation and MIL-free operation on vehicles equipped with active motor mounts.
Rubber Construction and Performance
034Motorsport uses high-durometer vulcanized rubber instead of polyurethane because rubber provides superior damping characteristics for motor mounts and bushings. Rubber effectively handles stress under both tension and compression, while polyurethane relies on compression for effective damping. Rubber also performs well under shear forces, making it suitable for applications where the mount experiences lateral forces during articulation.
Unlike polyurethane, rubber does not pack down and wear in the same manner, helping maintain consistent performance, durability, and comfort over time. Although rubber mounts are more expensive to prototype because of their manufacturing complexity and initial tooling costs, they offer long-term benefits in damping performance and reliability.
Application-Specific Design
For B9/B9.5 Audi A4 and A5 models equipped with the 2.0T TFSI engine, the Street Density Motor Mounts are designed to provide increased support while retaining a comfortable street-driving experience.
For B9/B9.5 Audi S4, S5, and SQ5 models equipped with the 3.0 TFSI engine, and B9/B9.5 Audi RS5 models equipped with the 2.9 TFSI engine, these mounts are designed as OE replacements. They offer the same performance and deflection characteristics as the factory S/RS Audi motor mounts without the failure-prone liquid-filled construction.
