The Numbers
From the factory, the Jeep Wrangler 2.0T is rated at 270–280 flywheel horsepower, depending on model year. In stock form, our dyno testing recorded a peak of 237 wheel horsepower at 5,500 RPM.
After installing the TruControl by STILLEN Inline Power Module, peak wheel horsepower increased to 252 horsepower at 5,000 RPM, representing gains of over 25 wheel horsepower near the top end. This translates to an estimated total engine output of nearly 305 flywheel horsepower, with peak gains occurring around 4,900 RPM.
Torque gains are where the TruControl truly shines. Stock torque measured 280.5 ft-lbs at 4,150 RPM, while the TruControl-equipped Wrangler produced 304 ft-lbs at 3,850 RPM. The largest gains—nearly 30 ft-lbs at the wheels—were observed around 3,500 RPM, delivering stronger low-RPM response ideal for off-road use and everyday drivability.
