What is the FX-200?

The FX-200 is an advanced high-pressure fuel pump upgrade featuring a larger bore than the factory unit. This design provides up to 80 percent more fuel flow over stock, allowing for higher ethanol blends, increased fuel demands from larger turbos, and improved injector efficiency. Capable of operating at up to 240 bar, the FX-200 helps optimize injector output and shorten injection windows for enhanced performance and combustion efficiency.

10-Micron Fuel Filter Unit:

Spool’s 10-micron filter unit provides superior fuel filtration for Mercedes vehicles, protecting high-pressure pumps and injectors from debris without any noticeable pressure drop. This filter is a key component in maintaining fuel system integrity, especially in high-performance applications.

Spool Ethanol Content Monitor (ECA Kit):

The optional Ethanol Content Analyzer provides real-time digital readouts of in-tank ethanol content and fuel temperature via a dedicated mobile app. Using BLE 4.0 low-energy technology, the system connects seamlessly with your smartphone while remaining compatible with other Bluetooth devices. The included fuel lines feature a black nylon-coated braided steel PTFE core and are 100 percent E85 safe.

Tune Required:

Installing the FX-200 requires ECU calibration updates. These changes must be applied before starting the engine to prevent damage and avoid warranty issues. Spool Performance can provide calibration data for your tuner or refer you to qualified professionals with experience tuning for FX-series pumps. While Spool does not offer custom tuning services, support is available for your tuner's questions.

Important Note on Low-Pressure Fueling:

High-pressure fuel pumps rely on consistent low-side fuel delivery for proper operation and longevity. Insufficient low-pressure fueling can lead to pump damage due to a lack of internal lubrication. This type of damage is detectable and not covered under warranty. Be sure to upgrade your low-pressure fuel system as needed when increasing your power goals.
