Unlike basic aftermarket intakes, this system incorporates a large high-flow bellmouth velocity stack secured directly to the heat shield. This advanced design increases air velocity into the turbocharger and evenly pulls in cold air from all directions. The oversized filter provides a massive surface area, supporting power goals well beyond 500HP.
Superior Heat Management:
IE’s thermal-blocking heat shield isolates the air filter from the high temperatures of the engine bay, drawing in cool air directly from the front radiator support. This prevents heat soak while maintaining a factory-safe mounting location—avoiding risk from debris and road contaminants.
Secondary Air Injection (SAI) Compatibility:
Some Gen 3 1.8T and 2.0T engines include a factory SAI system. If your vehicle has this feature, you will need to purchase the IE SAI Filter Adapter Kit to complete your intake installation. Not all engines are equipped with SAI—please verify before ordering.
